This stunning two bedroom, two bathroom holiday apartment is nestled in Bloomsbury, one of London’s most desirable postcodes. The outstanding apartment sits on the 1st floor of a restored traditional London townhouse. It offers holidaymakers in London luxury living and the perfect base to explore the city from.

This Bloomsbury holiday apartment in London is perfect for romantic getaways, families, small groups or business travellers. The property is ideally situated for exploring some of the biggest tourist attractions such as Covent Garden St Paul’s Cathedral, and The British Museum are all a short walk from the apartment. The City of London is a 20 minute walk from the apartment making it a perfect base for business travellers.

The apartment is accessed from the large entrance on the corner of John Street, the apartment is accessed via a grand marble effect staircase. Entering the holiday flat itself you come into the hallway which the apartment is laid out around.

Turning left as you step into the apartment you first come to the fabulous living space. This room is elegantly and tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings. The room is decorated in a modern-retro style with a corner sofa as well as a comfy armchair for relaxing after a hard day exploring the city. From here you can see out of the window on to beautiful John Street below. Entertainment is taken care of thanks to cable T.V in the living room and BT WiFi throughout the property.

The room also includes the dining space with an elegant modern white dining table with seating for six. It is the perfect space to plan your days out together or chat with friends over a glass of wine. For business travellers this can also double up as an effective work space. The room also benefits from air conditioning.

Returning to the hallway we next come to the kitchen. The cosy kitchen is fitted out with all the latest equipment and everything you need to prepare fabulous meals with. Appliances include an induction hob (great if you have children) oven and microwave. You’ll also find a Cookworks coffee maker as well a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and large fridge freezer. We also provide essentials such as tea, coffee and cooking oils. Back to the hallway and next we come to the king bedroom. This is the larger of the two bedrooms, with a king bed (sleeping two guests). The beautiful room is simple, with a flat screen TV and air conditioning, yet stylish and features plenty of storage space for both guests luggage as well. The master bedroom also has its own en suite bathroom with walk in shower and sink. Toiletries are also provided.

Returning to the main hallway you find the family bathroom. This refined, spacious, tiled bathroom is perfect for long romantic or relaxing baths as well as showers with the shower-over-bath. There is also a sink and WC. There is plenty of space to store all your bathroom essentials and beauty products. We also provide luxury toiletries for all your party (including handwash lotion, bath & shower gel, courtesy of Aqua Via.

Finally we come to the twin bedroom (turn left when entering the apartment). This features two single beds and sleeps 2 guests. The room includes a large fitted wardrobe running down one side of the room, so there’s plenty of space to bring lots of outfits, and even buy one of two more from the fabulous boutiques in Covent Garden. Please note this room does not have air conditioning.

Both bedrooms are fitted and decorated to the highest standards, featuring fabulously comfy bedding, cotton sheets and gorgeously fluffy towels.

This family friendly London holiday rental flat is situated on John Street, accessed from Roger Street, on the outskirts of Bloomsbury and minutes from the City of London. The West End, City of London and Covent Garden are all reachable in around 20 minutes or less.

Close by tube stations include Russell Square, on the Piccadilly line with direct access to Heathrow in under 50 minutes and one stop from St Pancras International, Holborn and Chancery Lane. The latter two stations are on the Central Line running through London and giving direct access to the City of London.

Despite its cultural, historic and scientific bragging rights, Bloomsbury has a well-healed yet understated atmosphere. The former home of literary greats such as Virginia Woolf and Charles Dickens, today it is dominated by the massive British Museum. Bloomsbury is an unspoilt corner of London, feeling more like a village. Bloomsbury is famous for its beautiful Georgian squares, world class universities, colleges and hospitals.

Bloomsbury is an often undervalued and overlooked oasis of calm in central London. The area is within the borough of Camden, one of London’s most diverse and eclectic boroughs. Basing yourself here for a holiday in London, you will be surrounded by action-packed places such as the West End, Soho, Covent Garden and the newly redeveloped King’s Cross area

Russell Square and Bloomsbury, the two large garden squares were set out and developed in the 17th century by the Russell family. Today these are flanked by stunning examples of Victorian architecture and sit either side of the fabulous British Museum, just a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Close to the apartment there are attractions such as the Charles Dickens museum (a 2 minute walk) and The Foundling Museum.

A brief 10 minute walk from the apartment brings you to the Brunswick Centre, a local hub for shopping dining and entertainment. You can find great shops such as French Connection and Joy along side cafes, a Waitrose supermarket and restaurants, including Carluccios, Itsu and giraffe. Entertainment comes in the form of the Curzon Cinema showing art house classics, foreign films and the latest Hollywood blockbusters.

A 20 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride takes you to the heart of one of London’s most famous tourist areas, Covent Garden. Find museums, the Royal Opera House, numerous theatres and the Piazza as well as a myriad of small streets to explore. You can find boutique fashion, high end designers and restaurants from around the world. Covent Garden is also on the edge of London’s theatre district, the West End. See a play, opera or musical with a pre or post theatre meal in the world’s most prominent theatre district.

As Euston, Kings Cross and St Pancras International (London’s Eurostar terminus) train stations are based on the northern borders of this district, travelling to the rest of the UK and Europe is easy too!

    Fabulous Stay

    We had a wonderful time in London, using this flat as our base. Lovely, very updated, air conditioned in the master and main room, great, relaxing space.

    Love the location, but I used to live in London and I like being just a little bit outside the core tourist zones, but able to quickly Tube or walk. I suppose I’d like the flat to be a few blocks closer to the Tube, but it’s only a casual 10 minute walk to Russell Square, and you’re in a lovely, neighborhood. It gives you also a chance to explore in ways you never would. King’s Cross St. Pancras and Highbury Islington; fantastic how the neighborhoods have come to grow, thrive and be so, so fun to hang around in – but “I knew them way back when,” so I’ve got special appreciation. If you’re in for just a few days and want to be right in the action 24/7, then a hotel or flat right in the midst of Covent Garden or Leicester or PIcadilly may be more for you. We were out mostly the whole day, so it was morning, late afternoon or late night when we were in the flat or neighborhood. So – perfect for that. We’d stay here again. Most people we know who love to stay in a flat (as opposed to a hotel) would love this experience.

    Great Enjoyable London Visit

    Nice, clean and newly upgraded with air conditioning that fit our family great on our visit to London. Great communication with Karen & Heritage Apartments. Would reccommend.

    Cool in so many ways!

    This flat was a life-saver for us. We spent a week in London with our two 80-something moms during the worst heat wave of the summer. Having an air-conditioned flat to return to after our forays into London museums and sights kept us all going. The location is outstanding, within walking distance (10 to 15 minutes) of three Tube stops. If you don’t want to walk even that far (and some days our moms did not), there are lots of buses right around the corner that can take you to the tube stops or just downtown. Get the Citymapper app for your phone and an Oyster card you can figure out the fastest way to get anywhere in the city. Nearby there’s a co-op food store as well as many take-away or eat in establishments for when you don’t want to cook. We particularly liked The Lady Ottoline. The flat itself is clean, spacious, comfortable and relaxing, with modern appliances and good internet. And did I mention the A/C? Note that the second bedroom does not have its own AC unit, so it got a little warm back there, but still OK. The flat was very much what it looked like from the pictures and descriptions, although actually sunnier than the pictures show. The Charles Dickens museum is a very short walk away; it is a very well done preservation of Dickens’ London residence you can check out very easily. I had a few questions about where to find things or how things worked in the flat when we first arrived and the office replied to my texts very promptly and helpfully. They also connected us with a taxi service to and from Heathrow which was also very helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer and I highly recommend this flat and hope to stay again.

    Our flat was simply lovely.

    We were so pleased with our flat… it was perfect for our family of four. So bright and quiet. It was nice to come home to after a day of sightseeing. Two tube stations, the Chancery Lane and the Holborn, were within walking distance. Such a wonderful little neighborhood. We loved our morning coffee and croissants just two doors down at the Hopper. Karen was so helpful in planning our stay. We are looking forward to our trip back to your wonderful city.

    Beautiful apartment in terrific location

    Our family of five enjoyed a wonderful five night stay here in late June. The flat is beautifully decorated and had plenty of space for all of us. Even though it is in close proximity to a number of restaurants, a grocery store, and several bus stops, the apartment was on a quiet street and it was easy to relax and sleep at night. Extra touches like air conditioning and a washer/dryer added to our comfort. We also appreciated the prompt communication from Karen who was extremely efficient and helpful. We loved our time here and would book again in a heartbeat!

    Fabulous Place to Stay in London

    This is a great choice for a place to stay in London. The apartment is away from the hustle and bustle of London, but anything you want to do in London is relatively easy to get to. The metro station is a 10 minute walk; buses are within a block. A large grocery store is near the metro station. The apartment is lovely, two bedrooms on either side of the central sitting area. A small, but well equipped kitchen; windows are large letting plenty of light in. The decor is modern and appears relatively new (bathrooms were fabulous!). The neighborhood is safe and I would say middle to upper class if Range Rovers parked on the street area an indicator! Within a 5-10 minute walk to the east is a great little area: Exmouth Market with shops and restaurants. Here you can find Gail’s for baked goods and La Ferme for a fabulous dinner. During lunch time, little restaurants are set up on the sidewalk where you can get anything from Paella to Shwarma. If you want to experience real London, this is a fabulous place to stay. 100% recommended!
